Spirulina is a blue-green micro algae that grows naturally in lakes and waterways. It supports and feeds many natural organisms thus improving the food population of any water where it is present. Spirulina is extremely rich in the antioxidant Beta Carotene that enables fish to effectively fight diseases and biological challenges, allowing weight gains to be maximised. It is the highest naturally occurring protein food that contains all the essential amino acids (and most of the non-essential ones), making it one of the main reasons why fish feed on plant life where so many benefits can be gained. (Think of its value in winter when there is little or no natural plant growth-but it is still very digestible).

Also rich in available Iron, Vitamin B12, B Complex and Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA), this fine green bait colouring powder has a 70% vegetable protein content, very low fat/oil level and impressive array of trace elements that make it a superb additive choice for year-round baits.

Tip: Spirulina is a deep green colour that dyes baits, and is particularly effective when used on light-coloured baits. It has also been used in conjunction with Liquid Kelp Complex and Pure Liver Powder (30g/kg Spirulina, 20g/kg Liver Powder and 20ml/kg Liquid Kelp Complex) in milk protein baits with considerable levels of success.
